Web Product Manager for UI/UX
Mission
This is a great opportunity for a Web Product Manager with a focus on UI/UX to enhance and grow an exciting new concept in online commerce. The Product Manager will take business strategies and concepts and translate them into actionable requirements through collaboration with creative, marketing and technology professionals. You¡¦ll be exercising your skills in business and technology along the way toward creating great products.
You¡¦ll be defining direction for UI/UX and additional business needs of both consumer and internally focused Web-based applications. By defining guidelines and standards for user interface design, implementation of internal tools and procedures, you¡¦ll see your efforts make a real difference to your project stakeholders and Internet consumers.
Responsibilities:
„X Work with internal teams, freelancers, and agencies on projects as directed. Though tasks skewed toward UI/UX, strong business acumen will be required.
„X Work with development to communicate design through technical implementation. Design task flows, detailed schematics/wireframes. Assist creative in prototyping and conducting usability. Produce detailed requirements based on marketing goals.
„X Define consumer friendly interface solutions for consumer end users. And define practical solutions for internal stakeholder management groups as well.
„X Evaluate new technologies to constantly improve the user experience.
„X Use key product metrics to track effectiveness of interaction design efforts.
„X Conduct competitive analysis and identify areas for differentiation.
„X Define requirements based on market and product interdependence needs.
Requirements:
„X Hard Skills:
o Combination 5+ years of Web Product Management experience heavily focused on software design/architecture experience.
o Strong wire frame skills. Proficiency with basic Office applications is assumed. Expertise with Visio, Photoshop or similar tools required. Familiarity with prototyping tools, (Serena, iRise, Axure), a plus.
o While not a programming job, basic to advanced HTML/CSS skills along with SEO awareness are a given. Full understanding of capabilities of modern web tools, (AJAX/XML/API Feeds, etc), will be necessary. Basic web skills, (FTP, etc. assumed.) Plusses include basic web server and Unix fluency.
o At least 2+ years experience specific to eCommerce; specifically involving product presentation, shopping cart functionality, search and associated user experience needs in the eCommerce area.
o Experience with back office systems and management interface requirements desired. Knowledge of user-centered design processes, interaction design approaches, Web and CRM design best practices and Web standards.
